Restart

The RESTART program follows the main objective of consolidating the capacity of six organizations or informal LGBTI activist groups throughout the whole country, but also aiming to facilitate networking and strong working relationships between various civil society actors that activate towards the wellbeing of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Activities

Throughout the duration of one year, the RESTART program will bring together the six participant groups across multiple workshops, training sessions, and caucuses that serve the purposes of identifying the needs of the local LGBTQIA+ communities, of sharing experiences on working with these communities, and of discovering the individual needs of each participant group.

Individually, the participant initiative groups and organizations will attend numerous workshops facilitated by MozaiQ’s experts on subjects such as community development, advocacy, and needs assessment of the local community, or of the group itself.

These activities will be complemented by key action at the local level, including organizing LGBTQIA+ targeted events, or local advocacy actions based on the priorly identified community needs. Throughout the implementation of these activities, MozaiQ will support the actions of the local organizations and initiative groups, consolidating as a way of mapping the needs of the local LGBTI groups with the purpose of creating a solid national network of LGBTQIA+ activists.

The project is being implemented by the MozaiQ LGBT Association between June 2022 – May 2023 with the financial support of the National Democratic Institute.
